The University of Evansville softball team opens its fall schedule Saturday, as the Aces host Olney Community College and Southern Indiana at James and Dorothy Cooper Stadium.

UE is slated to begin its first game with Olney at 12:00 p.m. and Southern Indiana at 4:00 p.m. Olney and Southern Indiana will match up in between the Aces’ games at 2:00 p.m.

Saturday marks the first of three Saturdays that the softball team will play at Cooper Stadium. The team will return the following Saturdays, October 3 and October 10.

This will be the first outing for first-year head coach Mark Redburn and his Purple Aces. The team returns 11 players from last year’s squad, including three seniors. UE also welcomes seven freshmen to the program.
