EAST LANSING, Mich.--After a weekend of battling some of the best programs in the Midwest, the University of Evansville women’s tennis team concluded the Spartan Invitational on Sunday. Competing against some of the best talent in the Midwest, the Aces held their ground. Junior Kate Chybowski advanced to the semi-finals in her singles draw, Theadora Kotsiou and Pin Sorensen advanced to the third round in their draws.

“It was a great weekend," said tennis coach Christine Bader.  "We played some top players in the Midwest and did a great job. I was very proud of how my team performed. Kate, Dora, and Pin had a great run in the main draw. Everyone competed hard and we are looking forward to the IPFW tournament and focused on the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships in two weeks."

The Aces continue their fall season as they travel to the Indian-Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational on October 2-4. After the IPFW invite, the Aces will conclude their fall season when they host the MVC individual championships on October 9-11.
