Senior Kate Chybowski advanced to the final eight of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Tournament in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Chybowski has been in action since Thursday’s opening round of 64.  She defeated Memphis’s Courtney Collins 6-3, 7-5 on Saturday to advance.

Chybowski will be back on the court Sunday at 11:00 a.m. against Chelsea Preeg of Vanderbilt.  If Chybowski wins that match she will play again at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the regional semifinals.

“She played a great match,” said UE head coach Nick Mueller speaking of Chybowski.  “Both women played great, but Kate is on a roll right now and this is a huge win.  I think her match tomorrow is very winnable, so she’s going to get some rest and be back at it in the morning.”
