The University of Evansville women’s tennis team continues its fall season this weekend when it travels to Normal, Illinois for the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Individual Women's Tennis Championship. Action begins on Friday and will continue through the weekend with the finals on Sunday afternoon.

The Purple Aces are coming off a great performance at last week’s IPFW Mastodon Invitational. Seniors Kate Chybowski and Ashton Schwerin, junior Dora Kotsiou and sophomore Carolyn Caire won their individual flight championships. The doubles pairings of Chybowski/Kotsiou and Pin Sorenson/Schwerin were victorious in the finals at number one and two doubles respectively.

“The team is excited about being able to show what they can do in front of conference competition,” said UE head coach Nick Mueller. “We have great momentum going into this weekend and we are pumped to see how what we can do. I am pretty excited as well with this being my first MVC tourney. I can’t wait to get out there and see our team in action.”
