OMAHA, Neb. -- Brittney Neumann already had six goals for her Creighton University Bluejays before Saturday. Unfortunately for the University of Evansville Purple Aces, her total is now eight. Neumann scored at 36:03 and made it a 2-0 match at 74:33 to lead Missouri Valley Conference leader Creighton (10-2-2/3-0-0) to a 3-0 win over the Aces (3-8-1/0-2-0) Saturday afternoon at Morrison Stadium. Lauren Cingoranelli added the final goal of the day at 83:31. Creighton has now won eight in a row.
The Aces were limited to five shots, with four on goal--two from Stephanie Thompson and one each from Breanna Beine and Kasey Cartwright. Chaviel Harrison made 12 saves for UE, which has now played eight of its first 12 matches away from home. UE is 2-1-1 at home, and the Aces begin a four-match homestand next Saturday against defending league champ Illinois State at 5:00.
