University of Evansville junior outfielder Greg Wallace (Nanaimo, British Columbia/Dover Bay S.S.) earned his second honor of the week on Tuesday, as he was named UE's Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week.
Wallace earned Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week honors after being named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week on Monday after hitting .560 (14-for-25) with seven extra-base hits, 10 runs scored, and 10 RBI in UE's five games last week. Wallace collected multi-hit games in all five contests for UE, while also scoring at least run in all five games. He will ride a seven-game hitting streak into today's 3:00 p.m. contest with nationally-ranked Louisville in which he has hit an even .500 (17-for-34) for the Purple Aces.
Wallace is the second UE baseball player to earn Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week honors this spring, as sophomore infielder Trentt Copeland earned last week's award.
