WICHITA, Kan. -- Winning the doubles point was key Friday afternoon as the University of Northern Iowa ended the University of Evansville's tennis season with a 4-2 first round victory in the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis Championships.

The #4 seeded Panthers won at number one and number two doubles, and also won in straight sets at number two, three and four singles to clinch the win over the #5 Aces and advance to Saturday's second round against top seed Wichita State.
