University of Evansville sophomore-to-be pitcher
Adam Culiver (Newburgh, Ind./Castle) has been named to the Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee (KIT) League All-Star Team after an outstanding first half of his summer league season.
Culiver is currently tied for the KIT League lead in pitching victories, as he has gone 5-1 with a save and a 1.72 ERA as a relief pitcher for the Tradewater (Dawson Springs, Ky.) Pirates. Culiver has struck out 20 men against just four walks in 15.2 innings of work so far this summer, while allowing just three runs on 10 total base hits.
Culiver appeared in 12 games in relief for the Purple Aces this past season as a true freshman. He went 0-0 with an 8.27 ERA in 16.1 innings of work this past spring for a UE squad which posted a 32-27 overall record.
The KIT League All-Star Team will battle the best of the Tennessee Summer Collegiate Baseball Association (TSCBA) in an All-Star Game on Sunday, July 4 in Owensboro, Kentucky.
