CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Signe Novak scored the only goal of the match with less than three minutes remaining in regulation Saturday night, giving her Southeast Missouri State University women's soccer team a 1-0 exhibition victory over the University of Evansville.  

Coach Krista McKendree's Aces finished the exhibition season 1-1 after beating Lipscomb 5-1 on Wednesday.

The Aces open the regular season Friday at McCutchan Stadium against Indiana University at 7:00.  IU is coached by University of Evansville Hall of Famer Mick Lyon, an All-America player and later women's soccer head coach at UE.
