Tennis Team Wins Two Singles, Five Doubles Matches

Day One Results

MEMPHIS, Tenn. –  Junior Jessica Raatz (6-1, 6-0) and sophomore Carolyn Caire (6-1, 6-1) both saw victories on day one in singles as the University of Evansville women's tennis team opened the season at the Memphis Invitational on Friday. Senior Pin Sorensen lost a heartbreaker in singles 3-5, 7-6(4), 7-5. Kate Chybowski, Theadora Kotsiou, Alexandra Dzakula, Ashton Schwerin, and Kelsey Costales also suffered defeats in their singles draws.

In doubles, Caire and Raatz went 2-0 in their doubles matches and Kate Chybowski/Theadora Kotsiou, Pin Sorensen/Ashton Schwerin, and Aleksandra Dzakula/Kelsey Costales all went 1-1 in their doubles matches.
