MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Senior Kate Chybowski (6-1, 6-2) and juniors Theadora Kotsiou (6-2, 7-5) and Alexandra Dzakula (7-5, 6-2) all won their singles matches as the University of Evansville women’s tennis team continued action on day two at the Memphis Invite.
Senior Ashton Schwerin (6-3, 6-3) and freshman Kelsey Costales (6-1, 6-1) both suffered defeats in singles. Pin Sorenson (1-6, 7-5, 10-3) also was defeated in singles, losing in a super tiebreaker.
In doubles, all three teams saw victory with Theadora Kotsiou/Kate Chybowski (8-5), Ashton Schwerin/Pin Sorenson (8-5), and Kelsey Costales/Aleksandra Dzakula (8-6) winning on Saturday.
The Memphis Invite concludes tomorrow with singles tennis starting at 9am.
