It was also the fifth win in the last six games for the Purple Aces, who improved to 12-9 overall and 6-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference.  The Salukis lost for the fifth time in the last six outings to drop to 10-12 and 4-7.
Colt Ryan Post-Game
Ryan hit two straight three-pointers as part of an 11-0 Evansville run early in the second half that took the Aces from a 23-18 deficit to a 29-23 lead.  They never trailed again, although the Salukis did cut the UE lead to two on three occasions.  The last came at 39-37, and Evansville quickly made it a 51-39 game thanks to six points from senior back-up center Clint Hopf, and two each from Ryan, Kavon Lacey and Ned Cox.

Ryan, the MVC's third leading scorer, led the Aces with 23.  Lewis Jones scored 10, and Hopf and Lacey added eight each.  Carlton Fay led the Salukis with 18.  The Aces go after their fourth straight win Wednesday night at home against league leader Missouri State.
