EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville will once again hold its annual Hoopfest to open up the 2011-12 basketball season. 
 
Set for Thursday, October 20, the doors open at 6 p.m. with the event starting at 7 p.m. at the Ford Center.  Members of the men’s and women’s hoops teams will participate in what will be Aces’ fans first opportunity to check out this year’s teams.
 
Admission to Hoopfest is free and the first 1,000 fans to arrive will receive a free Aces Hoopfest t-shirt courtesy of Heritage Federal Credit Union.  Special food prices will be on tap as soft drinks, hot dogs and popcorn will be available for just $1 each.
 
Features of the event include; player introductions, a 3-point challenge, intra-squad scrimmages a slam dunk contest and player autographs following the festivities.
