ACES' TENNIS TEAM BLANKS COUGARS
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Three University of Evansville singles players were extended to three-set matches Sunday morning, but all came through with victories as the Purple Aces defeated Chicago State 7-0. Evansville finished its busy weekend in Fort Wayne with a 2-2 record, and is now 5-2 for the season.
Kate Chybowski at number one, Ashton Schwerin at two and Pin Sorensen at three stepped up to the third set challenges and came through with victories. Chicago State earlier in the weekend lost a competitive 4-3 match to IPFW, which handed UE its first loss on Friday, 5-2.
The Aces are back in action next weekend in Indianapolis with matches against Butler and IUPUI.
