Also a competitor in the RedHawk Shootout Soccer Tournament, UT-Martin comes off losses to Miami (2-1) and Wright State (3-2). In both contests, the Skyhawks held leads but gave up a pair of unanswered goals, spoiling their early work. On the season, UT-Martin averages 2.12 goals per contest and has outscored their opposition, 17-10. In addition, the Skyhawks average 17.5 shots per game and hold a 140-99 shooting advantage. Last season, Evansville fell to UT-Martin, 2-0, in Martin, Tenn.

EVANSVILLE (1-5-3, 0-0 MVC)
Evansville comes off a 0-0-2 week, tying both Lamar University (2-2) and Northern Arizona University (0-0) in double overtime at the Hilton Garden Inn High Altitude Tournament hosted by NAU. The Aces look to get the offense going this weekend in route to their first home win of the season. Evansville is averaging 0.78 goals per game and 8.8 shots per contest this fall. Sophomore Stephanie Thompson (2g, 1a, 5pts) leads the attack, while Tasha Prentice, Kaitlin Robinett, and Kasey Cartwright have each recorded one goal and one assist. Sophomore Breana Beine leads the squad with 16 shots. In the net, junior Chaviel Harrison has played all 870:00 minutes, recording a 1.86 GAA, 62 saves, a .775 save percentage, and two shutouts.

COMMON FOES
Evansville and Miami have played a pair of common opponents this fall in Morehead State and Xavier. Against Morehead State, the Aces fell, 3-1, while Miami won, 4-0. However, both UE (1-0) and the RedHawks (2-1) fell to XU by one goal.

ANOTHER CHAVI SHUTTIE
Junior goalkeeper Chaviel Harrison kept the hosting Northern Arizona Lumberjacks off the board Sunday afternoon at the Hilton Garden Inn High Altitude Tournament, as Evansville ended in a 0-0 tie. Harrison recorded 11 saves in the match, facing a 28-shot bombardment. The Murrieta, Calif. native played all 220:00 minutes on the weekend that featured two double overtime draws. In UE’s 2-2 tie to Lamar, Harrison recorded seven saves, including one in the second overtime period. Across two matches, Harrison finished with 18 saves, a .900 save percentage, and her fourth career shutout.

CAREER IMPROVEMENTS
Entering the 2011 season, Chaviel Harrison recorded two career shutouts in 32 matches. Just nine contests into the season, Harrison has already doubled her career total, tallying one shutout each in the past two weekends.

GOOSE EGGS
Prior to Sunday’s 0-0 tie to Northern Arizona, the last time Evansville participated in an all-around scoreless match was Oct. 5, 2007 when UE tied Northern Iowa, 0-0, in Cedar Rapids.

BACK-TO-BACK TIES
The Purple Aces’ back-to-back draws last weekend mark just the second time in program history (spanning back to 1993) for UE to record consecutive ties. The only other time this occurred was in the 1994 season when UE tied Loyola (3-3) and Northwestern (0-0) in the first two matches of the season.

1, 2, 3…DRAW!
Nine matches into the season, the Aces have already recorded three draws. In the program’s 19-year history, UE has tied three or more matches four times. Four is the record for draws in a season set in 1994.
