EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women’s tennis team will take part in the MVC Individual Championships, which are set to be hosted by Wichita State this weekend.
Evansville has played in two tournaments thus far as
Mina Milovic and
Kelsey Costales have been strong thus far. Milovic began the season with a 3-0 singles performance at the SIUE Fall Invitational while Costales was the star last weekend at Austin Peay. The Long Beach, Calif. native was the runner-up in Flight C consolations.
Friday’s action starts with singles matches as Milovic will be up against Klavdija Rebol (Drake) in Flight 1 singles while
Natasha James is set for her matchup in the second flight versus Krissy Lankelma from Northern Iowa.
Sophomore
Gaby Fifer is slated to play in the third flight against Carolina Abello of Illinois State while Flight 4 will see
Emily Richardson taking on Carly Miles of Bradley. The fifth and sixth flights have
Kelsey Costales pitted against Stefanie Youngberg (Illinois State) and Rachel Gillespie slated to take on Maddie Johnson of Drake.
