EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women’s soccer team was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for its efforts off the pitch during the 2011-12 academic year, as the Purple Aces were one of 504 women’s programs to receive the Team Academic Award.
 
Evansville women’s soccer players posted a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.19 to earn the annual award, which is given to teams that achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.00.  UE was one of six Missouri Valley Conference schools that received the honor.
 
The Evansville men’s and women’s soccer teams both received the NSCAA Team Academic award, making UE just one of 154 schools that had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
