EVANSVILLE, Ind. – To coincide with the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, the University of Evansville athletics department has partnered with Deaconess to support three cancer affiliated charities in the Evansville community. Deaconess will provide donations during each of the Purple Aces’ men’s basketball games during the event that will take place Nov. 15-17.
At each of Evansville’s three Coaches vs. Cancer Classic games, Deaconess will provide a designated charity with $1 for each ticket scanned at the Ford Center. Donations will be provided to the
American Cancer Society for Thursday’s game vs. Buffalo,
TOUCH Inc. for Friday’s game vs. Yale and
Gilda’s Club Evansville for Saturday’s game vs. Western Illinois.
Discounted tickets for each game can be purchased from Thursday, Nov. 8 at 8:30 a.m. through Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. at the Carson Center ticket office. Fans can receive the discounted tickets by mentioning their support for one of the three organizations that will be receiving donations. Select lower bowl tickets will be $8 for adults and $5 for youth (17 and under); upper bowl seating will be $5. Additional three-day ticket package information for the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic event is available at the Carson Center ticket office.
In addition to the donations that will be made to the three charities, Deaconess will be providing t-shirts to 500 fans for each of UE’s three Coaches vs. Cancer Classic games. Donations for the shirts will be accepted, with all proceeds going to the benefiting charities.
