EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The 3-0 University of Evansville women’s tennis team will look to remain undefeated this weekend, traveling to Murray, Ky. for a pair of matches on Friday and Saturday.

The action begins on Friday when UE takes on host Murray State before the Aces face Chattanooga on Saturday.  Both are set for 1 p.m. starts.

Last weekend, Evansville improved to 3-0 with wins against Lipscomb and a home win over UT-Martin.  Senior Dora Kotsiou picked up MVC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week honors after her strong week for UE where she went a perfect 2-0 in both singles and doubles competition over the weekend.

Her doubles partner, freshman Natasha James, has also been on a roll to begin the spring season.  James has put up a perfect 3-0 mark in doubles play at the No. 1 spot while going an identical 3-0 in singles.

Murray State stands at 1-0 on the season following a victory over North Alabama in its opener on February 5.  The Racers earned a 7-0 sweep to begin their season.

The Mocs of Chattanooga will be Saturday’s opponent for UE.  They are also perfect on the season, winning matches against Lipscomb and Belmont.  The Mocs earned 7-0 sweeps in both.

Next weekend, UE will play in a pair of matches, hosting Arkansas State on Friday before traveling to face Kentucky on Saturday.
