Final Results

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Sophomore Mina Milovic improved to 3-0 in singles action on Sunday as the University of Evansville women’s tennis team wrapped up the SIUE Fall Invitational.
 
After going 2-0 in flight two singles on Saturday, Milovic topped Haley Ilcewicz of SIUE, 6-1, 6-4.  She beat Jennifer Kim (EIU) and Sasha Ruocco (Central Arkansas) in Saturday’s action.
 
Milovic led a strong singles outing for UE as the top four flights came out victorious.  At flight one, it was fellow sophomore Natasha James who grabbed the win over Kali Donner (7-5, 6-2) while Gaby Fifer took the win in the third flight.  Fifer defeated Sierra Halverson, 6-2, 6-2.  Fifer went 2-1 on the weekend with her lone loss being a three-set heartbreaker to Kristen Laird of EIU.
 
In the fourth slot, Emily Richardson made it a 2-1 weekend as she topped McKenzie Thomas by identical 6-3 finals.  Freshman Rachel Gillespie was downed by Lindsey Raymond (6-2, 6-3) in the sixth flight.
 
The sophomore duo of Fifer and Richardson were victorious in doubles action as UE faced off against Central Arkansas in doubles.  They topped Sasha Ruocco and Anna Buyukyan by a 9-7 score in flight two.
 
Flight three saw Milovic and Gillespie fall by an 8-3 final versus Stephanie Gonzalez and Bianca Strukelj.
 
Evansville will have a weekend off before returning to action from Sept. 28-30 at Austin Peay.
