WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Jordan Pawlik recorded a hat trick as Purdue shut out the University of Evansville women’s soccer team by a 4-0 margin on Sunday afternoon.
Pawlik scored her three goals on six shots while Jordan Frick tallied the other score for the Boilermakers (4-2-0). Purdue finished the game with 26 shots (13 on goal) while the Aces notched 13.
Stephanie Thompson and
Kayla Smith each had five shots for UE (1-4-0) while three of Thompson’s were on goal.
Purdue notched just one goal in the first half as Pawlik shot a rebound from point-blank range to get the Boilermakers on the board. Each team recorded seven shots in the first half.
In the second stanza, it was all Boilermakers as they scored three goals on an unbelievable 19 shots. Pawlik scored two goals in the first ten minutes of the half before Jordan Frick scored on a shot from the left side to seal the win at the 65-minute mark.

Chaviel Harrison had a solid outing in goal, making eight saves.
Evansville will return home on Friday for a 3 p.m. contest against Eastern Illinois before traveling to IPFW on Sunday at Noon.
