CoSIDA RELEASE

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville senior midfielder Stephanie Thompson was named to the Capital One Academic All-District V First Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday afternoon.
 
Thompson has recorded six points this season for the Purple Aces, as the Evansville native has scored three goals and attempted 47 shots in helping UE to a 9-4-3 overall record and a 2-2-1 mark in Missouri Valley Conference matches.
 
An All-MVC First Team selection and three-time MVC All-Tournament Team honoree, Thompson has accumulated 35 points on 14 goals and seven assists in her four-year career.  In the classroom, Thompson boasts a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) as an exercise science major and is a two-time MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team selection.
 
With her academic all-district first team selection, Thompson will advance to the Capital One national ballot and be eligible for the Capital One Academic All-America Team that will be announced on Nov. 22.
