EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's soccer team will continue Missouri Valley Conference play Sunday at 1 p.m., when the Purple Aces travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa for a meeting with Northern Iowa. Evansville is unbeaten in its last seven matches and has posted wins in its last five contests.
Evansville (8-2-1, 1-0-0 MVC) opened Valley play last Sunday with a 1-0 victory over visiting Drake at Arad McCutchan Stadium. Freshman
Emily Richardson scored her first collegiate goal in the 11th minute and sophomore goalkeeper
Simone Busby made three saves to record the shutout. For her efforts, Richardson was named the MVC Offensive Player of the Week and Busby tallied her fourth solo clean sheet of the season.

Abby Springer ranks second on the team with three goals and an assist for seven points. Senior

Emily Griebel have each tallied four points on the year. In goal, Busby ranks 28th in the country with a 0.54 goals against average to go with her .867 save percentage and 39 saves.
As a team, UE has outscored its opponents, 18-6, and has not allowed multiple goals in any game this season. In addition, the Evansville back line has conceded just one goal after the halftime whistle and ranks 19th in the country with a 0.53 goals against average. The Aces have posted a 213-136 shot advantage and have put 99 of their shots on frame for a .465 shot on goal percentage.
Northern Iowa (1-11-0, 0-1-0 MVC) will be looking for its first win since Aug. 30 when it hosts Evansville Sunday, as the Panthers are currently on a nine-match losing skid. UNI opened league play last Friday, falling, 3-1, at Missouri State, before dropping a 2-1 decision to IUPUI Sunday in a non-conference tilt. Maddie Welch tallied the lone goal for Northern Iowa in the loss to the Bears, and Annie Dale found the back of the net in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. Nicole Postel made a pair of saves against MSU in 90 minutes of action and tallied two more in 45 minutes between the posts at IUPUI. Erin Zaideman logged the other 45 minutes for the Panthers against the Jaguars, making one save.
Maggie Riley leads UNI offensively with four points on a goal and two assists, while Brady Clark has tallied three points on a goal and one assist. Six other Northern Iowa players have tallied a goal for the Panthers, including Dale, who is second on the squad with nine shots and five shots on goal. Postel has started all 12 games for UNI, allowing 19 goals in 959:12 for a 1.78 goals against average. Postel sports a .747 save percentage with 56 saves and one shutout.
As a team, Northern Iowa has been outscored, 23-8, and has allowed 15 second-half goals. The Panthers have also been outshot, 172-78, and have surrendered 65 corner kicks, while earning 31. UNI has been efficient with its shots, putting 43 on frame for a .551 shot on goal percentage.
Last season, Evansville defeated Northern Iowa, 2-0, at Arad McCutchan Stadium, getting goals from Smith and Thompson.
