ST. LOUIS – University of Evansville freshman Alex Turner was named the Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week by the league office on Wednesday.
 
Turner posted the top round of his career, tallying a 1-under 70 in the final round of the Don Benbow Invitational.  He began the event with a 72 in the opening round of play on Monday.  The Evansville native was just one shot off of the winning score.
 
His efforts propelled the Aces to a fourth place finish.  That came just a week after finishing 18^th at the Samford Intercollegiate.
