ST. LOUIS – Following a re-tally of the votes, it has been announced that University of Evansville women’s tennis player
Marketa Trousilova is on the All-Select Team for the 2013 season.
This marks the second honor for the sophomore as her and Natasha James were named to the All-Conference Team at No. 1 doubles. The All-Select Team is comprised of eight players. The top six singles student-athletes earn all-conference honors in their flight while the All-Select squad is made up of the top eight players who did not receive that recognition.
Trousilova wrapped up her first season with the Purple Aces with a final mark of 15-3 in singles and 16-3 in doubles. Her singles mark saw her go an impressive 6-1 in Missouri Valley Conference outings while posting a 1-0 mark at the top flight and 6-0 in the third spot.
Doubles was also a strong point for the Kansas State transfer as she worked with James to go 16-3 and 6-1 in the MVC. The duo won ten matches in a row at one point and were responsible for half of the Aces’ doubles triumphs this spring.
