EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's soccer team will conclude its preseason schedule Sunday at Wright State, when the Purple Aces take on the Raiders at 5 p.m. in Dayton, Ohio.
Evansville fell to Austin Peay, 2-0, in its exhibition opener, as the Lady Governors scored a pair of goals and outshot UE, 13-5. Sophomore

Wright State opened its preseason schedule with a 1-0 win over Bowling Green Tuesday, Aug. 13 and followed it up with a 3-1 win at Mount Vernon Nazarene on Friday.
WSU returns 18 letterwinners from last year's team that finished 9-5-6 overall and 2-2-3 in the Horizon League. The Raiders were picked second in the Horizon League's preseason poll. Offensively, 2012 Horizon League Newcomer of the Year Ini Umotong led Wright State last season with 16 points on seven goals and two assists. Senior goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy also returns after posting an 0.65 goals against average, 104 saves and eight shutouts last season on her way to earning Second Team All-League honors.
Following Sunday's exhibition, the Aces will open the regular season Friday, Aug. 23, when they host Murray State for a 6 p.m. contest at McCutchan Stadium.
