nd seeded University of Evansville women's soccer team (10-5-3, 3-2-1) plays #3 Drake in the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Friday, November 7. The match will be held at Adelaide Street Field and begin at 3:36 p.m.

With a victory, Evansville will play the winner of #5 Missouri State and #1 Illinois State on Sunday in the MVC Championship at 1:06 p.m.

UE lost their last match 1-0 at Loyola on Thursday, October 30. The lone goal was a Loyola score in the 45
th minute just before halftime. Junior forward Kayla Smith took a team-high two shots in the match. Junior goalkeeper
Simone Busby made one save on the night.

Evansville is led offensively by sophomore midfielder
Bronwyn Boswell who has a team-best eight goals, 16 points, 41 shots, and six game winning goals this season. Evansville also has four goals from freshman forward
Nicki Baham and three goals each by junior defender
Holyn Marshall, and freshman defender
Olivia Shafer. Sophomore defender
Emily Richardson has a team-high five assists and sophomore midfielder Noor Medlej has added four assists as well. Busby is 10-5-3 this year with a .861 saves percentage and a 0.58 goals against average. She has been a part of 12 shutouts (8 solo) this season. Evansville is averaging 14.7 shots and 1.39 goals per match. The Purple Aces have also taken 90 corner kicks compared to just 50 by their opponents.

Drake (9-8-2, 2-2-2) finished the regular season as the third seed and just defeated #6 Loyola 3-2 in the opening round of the MVC Tournament on Sunday, November 2.Kayla Armstrong scored 44 seconds in to put Drake ahead. The Bulldogs held a 2-0 advantage at half and a 3-1 lead during the second half. Drake withstood an 89
th minute goal from the Ramblers to prevail for the one goal win.

Rebecca Rodgers leads the Bulldogs with a team-high 12 goals, 8 assists, 32 points, 48 shots, 32 shots on goal and four game winning goals. Armstrong and Stokes both have four goals each this season. Stokes also had four assists Kylynn Moyer has played the majority of minutes in net this year for Drake, going 8-7-2 with a 1.37 goals against average and a .811 saves percentage. The Bulldogs have taken only 48 corner kicks this season, compared to 106 for their opponents.

Drake leads the all-time series 9-6-0 against Evansville but the Purple Aces defeated the Bulldogs 1-0 on the road on September 28. Boswell scored the only goal of the match, a 4
th minute penalty shot, in the victory. Busby recorded six saves in the match. UE is two victories shy of their first MVC Championship since 2008.
