LIVE STATSEVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's soccer team (7-3-2) starts MVC play this weekend with a road match at Drake on Sunday, September 28. The contest will begin at 1:00 p.m. and be held at Cownie Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Purple Aces have recorded five straight shutouts, a program record, and have not yielded a goal in over 492 minutes.
Evansville enters this match after going 3-0 last week. The Aces won 1-0 at home against Southeast Missouri State on Wednesday, September 17, earned a 2-0 road win at Belmont on Friday, September 19 and returned home to defeat Tennessee Tech 7-0 on Sunday, September 21.
Coach Krista McKendree's team has not been defeated, or allowed a goal, since a 2-0 loss at Western Kentucky on September 7.
Evansville currently boasts three Missouri Conference Players of the Week. Freshman
Nicki Baham was named offensive player of the week, freshman
Olivia Shafer claimed the defensive player of the week award and junior
Simone Busby was named goalkeeper of the week.
Sophomore midfielder Bronwyn Bowell leads the Purple Aces with four goals and 25 shots taken this season. She also has three game winning goals this year.

Busby has six solo shutouts this year and nine overall this season. Her scoreless streak stands at 447:52. Busby holds a 0.61 goals against average, has a saves percentage of .863, and is now 6-3-2 this season.
Evansville is averaging 1.50 goals per game and 15.2 shots per match. The Purple Aces have also taken 62 corner kicks compared to just 35 by their opponents.
The Drake Bulldogs are 5-6-0, falling 1-0 in their last match against South Dakota at home on Wednesday, September 24. Drake has won three of their final five matches.
The Bulldogs are led offensively by sophomore midfielder Rebecca Rodgers who has seven goals this season. Redshirt senior Generve Charles, three, and senior forward Ashlie Stokes, two, are the only other multi-goal scorers this season for Drake.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kylynn Moyer has logged over 911 minutes in net this season for the Bulldogs and has an .800 saves percentage. She has accumulated two shutouts this year and has a1.38 goals against average.
Drake is scoring 1.45 goals per game this season and attempting 10.8 shots per match. The Bulldogs don't create many corners as their opponents have taken 62 corners compared to just 25 by Drake.
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series with Evansville 9-5. The Aces won the last meeting 1-0 with a victory at home on September 29, 2013. The lone goal was an Emily Richardson shot and score in the 11
th minute of the match. Evansville has won four of the last five matches vs. Drake.
