EVANSVILLE, Ind. –The University of Evansville Women's tennis team opened up their spring season on Friday night against the Austin Peay Governors.  The Aces were able to pull out the victory late as Mina Milovic was able to secure the 4-3 victory in flight six singles.  The victory gives the Aces a 1-0 start this spring.
 
The Aces took four out of the six matches at singles.  Marketa Trousilova was defeated by Omella Di Salvo at flight one singles.  Trousliova lost 6-2 and 6-3.  Natasha James took the victory over Hannah Tatlock at flight two singles with a score of 6-2, 5-7, and 6-1.  At flight three singles Andjela Bruljan was defeated by Vanessa Taveras 6-4 and 7-5.  Morina Moreno won at flight four singles over Brittney Covington 6-2 and 6-2.  Kennedy Craig pulled in yet another victory at flight five singles with a 6-4 and 6-0 victory over Isabela Jovanovic.  To end the evening and secure the victory Mina Milovic was victorious at flight six singles with score of 6-7, 6-3, and 6-3.
 
In doubles action the Aces took one out of three matches from Austin Peay.  Andjela Brguljan and Kennedy Craig took the victory at flight three doubles with a 6-0 victory.  At flight one doubles Di Salvo and Tatlock defeated James and Milovic 6-3.  At flight two doubles Trousilova and Moreno were defeated by Tavares and Covington 7-6.
 
The Aces had a great showing at the match and the support of those fans was crucial to Milovic securing the victory for the Aces.

The Aces are back in action next weekend with two away matches.  The Aces take on IPFW on Friday and Oakland on Saturday.
