EVANSVILLE, Ind. – After helping the University of Evansville women's soccer team to a Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship and a berth into the NCAA tournament, Bronwyn Boswell earned even further recognition this week as she was awarded NSCAA Scholar honors in the North/Central Region.
Boswell, a midfielder out of Frisco, Texas, was named to the third team, and she finished the 2015 campaign with three goals and a pair of assists, earning a second consecutive spot on the All-MVC First Team.
A physical therapy major, Boswell was even more impressive in the classroom, posting a 3.98 grade-point-average. It's yet another academic honor for the junior, who previously carved out a spot on the MVC Honor Roll in each of the past two seasons and earned the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.
A Purple Aces women's soccer player has earned regional academic accolades from the NSCAA in each of the past two seasons. Last year, Allie Arguello earned an honorable mention.
