EMERSON, Ga. – The University of Evansville Purple Aces baseball team (2-1) will have a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 21 against Western Kentucky beginning at 4 p.m. CT. The doubleheader was moved up an hour due to inclement weather in the forecast for later in the evening. The contests will be played at the Perfect Game Baseball Field at LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Ga. The series concludes with a single game on Sunday, Feb.22 at 2:00 p.m. CT. All games are slated for nine innings each.

LAST TIME OUTThe Purple Aces won their opening series two games to one at UALR (Feb. 13-14). After losing the opening contest 6-3, Evansville responded with a doubleheader sweep of the Trojans 7-2 and 16-3 (7 innings) on Saturday to earn a series win.

WHAT'S UP WITH WESTERNWKU lost the opener 7-3 against Maryland in the Caravelle Resort Tournament. They won 9-4 vs. Coastal Carolina and were postponed against Canisius.

THE SERIESWestern Kentucky leads the all-time series 35-28 against UE. The teams have not met since 2013 when the Hilltoppers won both games of a home and home.

WE'RE GOING HOMEUE has their first home game at Braun Stadium on Friday, February 27 when they play Oakland as part of a three-game weekend series.
