Hello again Aces fans! Hope everyone has had a good week. Let me fill you in on this past week and what we have in store for the weekend.
Â
As I stated last week, unfortunately our home series opener against Oakland was cancelled due to inclement weather. Nonetheless, we took this time to continue to get better and work on our craft in the Armory.
Â
We had a game against top ranked Vanderbilt Tuesday night. Man, did we compete! It was a great college baseball game that eventually did not go in our favor after 12 hard fought innings. A high level of competitiveness came from every single person all game long. This started with our pitchers, extending to our offensive unit and the bench. It was a great atmosphere to play in and we truly enjoyed it.
Â
Although we ended up on the short side Tuesday night, we gained a lot of positives during the game, which we can continue to build on. We are making adjustments in order for us to be better in the future and continue to play at a high level.
Â
Once again mother nature is hitting us hard! With weather conditions not in our favor, we were forced to move our four game home weekend series. Thankfully, we moved our games down to Emerson, Georgia where we played Western Kentucky two weeks ago.
Â
We will be taking on Western Illinois this weekend, playing two games on Friday and two more games on Saturday to conclude the series. We look forward to the challenge ahead of us!
Â
Thank you everyone for tuning in. Tune in next week!
