Third baseman Jonathan Ramon continues his season-long blog of the UE Baseball season, recapping the team's last week of games and the Aces' weekend series at Illinois State:

Good afternoon Aces Fans! Hope everyone has been doing well. Although the rain this past week has been depressing, I hope you are now enjoying the warmer weather.
 
Well, we finally finished our 8-game road trip with a big series win at Illinois State this past weekend. We were very happy to end the trip 6-2.
 
It was a big weekend up in Normal. We had just come off a great week, which included winning a series from Indiana State on the road, and we wanted to keep the momentum going.
 
On Friday night, we fell behind early in the game but did not back down. We used a complete team effort to rally from a 6-1 deficit for the victory. Key offensive hits and key pitches were made to earn the win. This set us up for another series win on Saturday.
 
Even though, we dropped the second game of the series to the Redbirds, we came out with a sense of urgency on Sunday. We beat them 10-0 to secure the series win. It was a great series for us. The guys in our lineup are beginning to get hot and into a groove. The pitching is getting in a rhythm for us as well!
 
Continuing on, we were supposed to have two midweek games at home but our Tuesday night contest with UT-Martin was postponed due to rain. Luckily, the rain held off Wednesday night and we were able to play the Battle at the Braun with USI. It was a great game in all facets, and we continued to play defensive at a high level. We received timely hits in the game and that allowed us to beat USI 7-4.
 
This sets up a very big, and key weekend at home against #20 Missouri State. We just came off a huge road series win and Missouri State just finished a home series win against #18 Dallas Baptist.
 
Needless to say, we need as many people supporting us this weekend! There's going to be great weather all three days and great baseball to be played! What more can you ask for?
 
Hopefully we will many of you this weekend to give us the home field advantage against a quality opponent and truly Pack The Braun!
