Evansville, IN– The University of Evansville Women's Tennis Team (9-7, 1-2 MVC) will spend their weekend in Iowa this weekend.  The Aces will first take on Northern Iowa on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CDT.  On Sunday, the Aces will head over to Des Moines to take on the Drake Bulldogs.  The match against Drake is slated for a 10:00 a.m. CDT start time.
 
Evansville is most recently coming off a 5-2 victory over the Missouri State Bears.  In that match, the Aces were able to completely sweep all three doubles matches. In singles play, the Aces were able to get wins from Marketa Trousilova at flight one singles, Natasha James at flight two singles, Kennedy Craig at flight three singles, and Gaby Fifer at flight six singles to contribute for the victory.
 
Northern Iowa will come into the match against the Aces with a record of 12-5 and 2-1 in conference play.  In singles action, Erica Medlin is 11-6 at flight one singles for the Panthers.  At flight three singles, Jieke Stroobant comes into the match with a record of 15-2.  The Panthers are most recently coming off a victory over Illinois State.  The Panthers took the match by a score of 5-2 back on April 4^th.
 
The Drake Bulldogs come into the match against the Aces with a record of 17-4 and a 3-0 mark in MVC action.  Drake comes into the match riding a five match winning streak.  Most recently, they are coming off back to back 7-0 victories over Bradley and Illinois State.  Only one member of the Drake team comes into the match with a losing record in singles play.  Four of those members are also undefeated in conference singles play.
 
The Aces will be back home on April 18^th and 19^th to finish up their regular season against Illinois State and Bradley.  The Aces will then host the MVC Team Championship April 24^th-26^th at Wesselman Park.
