Box Score

Evansville, IN– The University of Evansville Women's Tennis Team (9-8, 1-3 MVC) took on the Northern Iowa Panthers this afternoon.  Northern Iowa was able to defeat the Aces by a score of 2-5.  Natasha James was able to go undefeated on the day.  At flight two singles, James defeated Elvira Lopez by a score of 6-3, 6-1.  In doubles action, James and Kennedy Craig were able to defeat Jieke Stroobant and Astrid Santos 8-2.
 
In other singles action, Marketa Trousilova fell to Erica Medlin of UNI 6-7(7), 6-1, 6-4 at flight one singles.  At flight three singles, Jieke Stroobant of UNI defeated Kennedy Craig 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-5.  Marina Moreno of Evansville fell to Astrid Santos 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 at flight four singles.  At flight five singles, Gisela Kemper defeated Mina Milovic of Evansville by a score of 6-4, 6-4.  Lastly, at flight six singles Sydney Wolfe of UNI won against Gaby Fifer 6-1, 6-2. 
 
Evansville managed to split the other two doubles matches.  At flight one doubles, Marketa Trousilova and Marina Moreno defeated Erica Medlin and Elvira Lopez 8-7(2).  At flight three doubles, Mina Milovic and Gaby Fifer of Evansville fell to Gisela Kemper and Sydney Wolfe.

The Aces will be back in action tomorrow when they take on the Drake Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. CDT.  The Aces will then come home to finish their season against Illinois State and Bradley next weekend.  The Aces will then host the MVC Team Championship April 24^th-26^th at Wesselman Park.
