Third baseman Jonathan Ramon continues his season-long blog of the UE Baseball season, recapping the team's last week of games and the Aces' upcoming weekend series with South Alabama:

Good Morning Aces Fans! Welcome back to this week's edition of Aces Tape! I hope everyone has had a great week!
 
Dating back to last week, we did a great job of handling ourselves against cross-town rival USI during the Battle at the Braun. After winning this midweek contest, we welcomed a great program in #20 Missouri State to Evansville for a three game MVC series. Unfortunately, they swept us over the weekend.
 
Being the team and program that we are, we took those losses as a learning tool and continued to work even harder on our game. We took Monday to regroup, and we were right back out on the diamond. We played on Tuesday at home against SIUE and were back on the road Wednesday in Bloomington versus IU.
 
We beat SIUE on Tuesday at home and started off the week on the right foot. We continued to use this momentum and great feeling we had entering Bloomington.
 
The game on Wednesday was a game to see. We came out with the 2-1 victory, in 14 innings at IU! Yes, you read that correctly, 14 innings! What a game! On top of coming out victorious, our outfielder, Josh Jyawook, became an Internet and TV sensation after making a leaping grab over the left field wall in order to bring back a homerun! The play was all over social media and also was number one on SportsCenter Top 10 Plays of the day.
 
Rolling into the weekend, we welcome yet another quality opponent in South Alabama to Braun Stadium on our weekend away from Missouri Valley Conference play. We are looking to continue this great feeling we have and build off one another to continue our winning ways.
 
Something that will help is your support! As I've said before, I have seen how well all our Aces fans travel and how much you have been supporting us all year. It will be more than great to see you all at our games this weekend while we host the Jaguars!
