2014-2015 Aces Tennis Stats

Evansville, IN– The University of Evansville Women's Tennis team (9-9, 1-4 MVC) will be in action twice this weekend when they take on the Illinois State Redbirds on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CDT and the Bradley Braves on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. CDT.  Saturday will be senior day for the Aces.  The Aces will honor Gaby Fifer, Marketa Trousilova, Mina Milovic, and Nastasha James prior to the match against Illinois State.
 
The Aces are coming off last weekend when they spent the entire weekend in Iowa.  Both Drake and Northern Iowa were able to get wins over the Aces with Northern Iowa winning by a score of 2-5 and Drake winning by a score of 1-6.  Marketa Trousilova was a bright spot for the Aces going 3-1 on the weekend with her lone loss coming against Northern Iowa at flight one singles.
 
Illinois State comes into the match with a record of 2-16 and a 0-5 mark in their conference matches.  The Redbirds have currently lost 13 straight matches with their only two wins coming over Butler and Indianapolis back in February.  Illinois State's most recent loss comes at the hand of the Aces other opponent this weekend, the Bradley Braves. 
 
Bradley comes into the match with a record of 11-10 and a conference record of 2-3.  The Braves have won two out of their last three matches which includes wins over Missouri State and Illinois State and a loss to Wichita State.  Ariel Dechter comes in to the match with the best individual record for the Braves with a mark of 28-9.  The bulk of her play has come at flight two singles where she boasts a 14-4 record.
 
Sundays match will be the last regular season match for the Aces this season.  Evansville will host the Missouri Valley Conference Team Tennis Championship April 24^th -26^th.  There will be more to follow next week in regards to the schedule of the tournament and when the Aces will play.
