Evansville, IN– The University of Evansville Women's Tennis Team (10-9, 2-4 MVC) hosted their senior day on Saturday when they took on the Illinois State Redbirds. Prior to the match the Aces honored four players for senior day which included Gaby Fifer, Marketa Trousilova, Mina Milovic, and Natasha James. The Aces were able to get a win for the seniors by defeating the Redbirds by a score of 5-2.

In singles action, Trousilova was defeated by Kadi Ilves of Illinois State by a score of 6-3, 6-4 at flight one singles.  Natasha James was able to get the win at flight two singles over Donna Haycock by a score of 6-3, 6-0.  Freshman Kennedy Craig was also victorious at flight three singles.  She was able to defeat Illinois State's Chanel Scudiero 6-4, 6-2.  Catherine Schulman of Illinois State defeated Andjela Brguljan 4-6, 6-4, 10-5 at flight four singles.  Mina Milovic was able to get a victory on her senior day by defeating Valerja Gercar 6-3, 6-1.  Gaby Fifer was also able to get a senior day victory by beating Natalia Parchowska by default.  Before she won by default the score was 5-7, 3-2.
 
In doubles action, Trousilova and Marina Moreno were able to defeat Kadi Ilves and Donna Haycock by a score of 8-4 at flight one doubles.  At flight two doubles, Natasha James and Kennedy Craig defeated Chanel Scudiero and Catherine Schulman 8-2.  Lastly, at flight three doubles Gaby Fifer and Mina Milovic were defeated by Valerija Gercar and Natalia Parchowska 8-7 (6).

The Aces will be back in action tomorrow night for their season finale. Due to inclement weather Evansville will take on the Bradley Braves at 7:00 p.m. CDT.  The match has been moved to ECTA North which is located at 5428 Davis Lant Drive, Evansville, IN 47715.  Next weekend the Aces will host the MVC Team Championship which will take place April 24^th-26^th.
