EVANSVILLE, Ind. – For the second day in a row, the University of Evansville women's tennis team defeated the opposition by a 5-2 final as the Purple Aces were victorious over Bradley in Sunday evening's regular season finale.
 
With the win, UE finishes the regular season with an 11-9 record while going 3-4 in conference play.  Evansville now begins preparations for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, which will be hosted by the Aces from Friday through Sunday at Wesselman Park.
 
The Aces began Sunday's match in strong fashion, taking two out of three tilts. Alexa Brandt and Ashley Thai teamed up in the top flight to defeat Marketa Trousilova and Mina Milovic, 8-4.  Natasha James and Kennedy Craig earned an 8-3 win in flight two.  They got past Aimee Manfredo and Ariel Dechter, 8-3.
 
Rounding out the doubles action were Andjela Brguljan and Gaby Fifer.  They made it a clean sweep as they earned an 8-3 decision over Cassia Wojtalik and Carly Miles.
 
Trousilova finished off a perfect evening at #1 singles.  She topped Dechter in two sets, 6-4, 6-2.  Flight three saw Craig top Manfredo in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 10-4.  The Aces took wins in the fifth and sixth flights to finish off the 5-2 win.  Flight five featured a 2-set win by Milovic.  She defeated Wojtalik, 6-2, 6-2.  Fifer earned the win over Miles in the sixth flight, 6-0, 6-0.
 
Bradley's victories came at #2 and #4 singles.  Brandt defeated James in the second flight, 6-4, 6-2.  Thai picked up a win over Brguljan in flight four, 6-2, 6-4.
