Evansville, IN – University of Evansville senior Natasha James tied the mark for career doubles wins as the Purple Aces women's tennis team (11-10, 3-5 MVC) finsihed their season on Friday in the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis Team Championship at Wesselman Park as Southern Illinois defeated UE by a 4-2 final.

James teamed up with Kennedy Craig to pick up an 8-5 win in flight two doubles.  She finishes her stellar career tied with Beth Peyton with 86 doubles triumphs.  It is a great feat for James, who was able to tie the record in front of the home crowd in a championship atmosphere.
 
Marketa Trousilova and Marina Moreno defeated Natasha Tomishima and Vitoria Beirao of Southern Illinois by a score of 8-2 at flight one doubles.  Trousilova was defeated by Tomishima by a score of 6-2, 6-2 at flight one singles.  Trousilova ended her career with the Aces today as a three time MVC all select team selection and was named to the scholar athlete team this season and was an honorable mention last season.
 
In other doubles action, Ariadna Cairo Baza and Yana Golovkina defeated Gaby Fifer and Mina Milovic by a score of 8-2.
 
Singles action included Natasha James defeating Meagan Monaghan of Southern Illinois 6-2, 6-4.  Athena Chrysanthou and Kennedy Craig were at a score of 5-7, 1-1 but due to SIU securing the match they did not finish.  At flight four singles, Yana Golovkina defeated Andjela Brguljan by a score of 7-5, 6-1.  Arianda Cairo Baza of SIU defeated Mina Milovic by a score of 6-0, 6-1.  Lastly, Gisela Cairo Baza defeated Gaby Fifer of Evansville by a score of 6-1, 7-5.
