EVANSVILLE – The University of Evansville baseball team will return to action on Tuesday afternoon with a trip to Kokomo Municipal Stadium for a neutral site contest against Kent State at 4 p.m.

The Aces (9-9) are coming off a win this past Friday over cross-town rival Southern Indiana, and the team will be looking for a second consecutive victory for the first time since a seven-game streak was halted earlier this month.
After being held to just two runs in Friday's win, UE will be looking to get its high-scoring line-up back in action. The Aces have homered 20 times over 18 games this season, with Jonathan Ramon's career-best five homers this season leading the way. Trey Hair, Boomer Synek and Korbin Williams have each left the park three times as well, and as a team, the Aces are hitting .285 and averaging 7.4 runs per game.
On the mound, the Aces will turn to Alex Weigand once again for the midweek start. The freshman southpaw has pitched in each of the last three weeks, and he was most recently pegged with the loss against Indiana after allowing four earned runs over six innings last Tuesday. The Bourbonnais, Ill., native is 1-1 on the year with a 6.05 earned run average over 19.1 innings of work.
Meanwhile, Kent State will enter the week after taking three out of four at Liberty over the weekend. The Golden Flashes are 13-5 on the year and own a .267 batting average to go along with a 3.31 team ERA.
First pitch on Tuesday is slated for 4 p.m. Central time.
NOTES: UE is 2-2 in midweek games this season … Since 1978, the Aces are 52-25 against schools that hail from the state of Ohio … Tuesday will mark the first-ever meeting between UE and Kent State.
