Loyola opened the match with a fast start as the Ramblers record _ shots in the first five minutes of the match. After the early flurry of shots, Loyola scored its first goal of the evening as Jenna Szczesny crossed a ball into the box that Madison Kimball redirected into the back of the net to provide the hosts with the 1-0 advantage. The second goal for the Ramblers came in the 24th minute as a corner deflected down in the box and Sienna Cruz slipped it past the keeper to push Loyola out to a two-goal lead. Evansville earned a chance in the 27th minute on a corner kick that freshman Alex Eyler took, but the Aces could not draw one back on the opportunity. After Evansville had a shot go wide in the 37th minute, the Ramblers responded with a shot on-goal that redshirt sophomore Julie Rabe saved to hold Loyola's lead at 2-0 at the half.

The second half began with Loyola finding its third goal of the match in the 52nd minutes Szczesny and Kimball again connected in a similar fashion. Six minutes later, Kimball tallied her third goal of the evening as a corner kick was directed into the back of the net by Kimball, giving the Ramblers a 4-0 lead. In the 71st and 77th minute, Loyola scored twice more on goals by Bella Lestina and Eleni Carr. Evansville pushed for a goal and were able to create an opportunity in the 86th minute. Sophomore Karsyn Kleinrichert made a run across the end line, playing a ball into the box that junior Maggie Leazer knocked home for her third goal of the season, representing the final goal of the night as Loyola picked up the 6-1 win.
Leading the way for UE was Leazer who scored for the Aces, while recording a team-best two shots with both coming on-goal. In goal, redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Julie Rabe set a career-high with eight saves on the evening, spending all 90 minutes between the posts in the loss.
The Aces are the No. 6 seed in the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Championship and will head to Cedar Falls, Iowa to face UNI on Sunday at Noon in the opening round of the championship.
