EVANSVILLE, Ind. - With a trip to Lone Star State and a showdown with Missouri Valley Conference rival Dallas Baptist on the immediate horizon, the University of Evansville baseball team plays host to Belmont University at Braun Stadium Wednesday night at Braun Stadium.

The Purple Aces (7-30, 1-11 MVC) will look to get back on the winning path, after being swept by Southern Illinois this past weekend. Head Coach Wes Carroll will send out senior right hander Ryan Brady to make his first collegiate start. The longtime reliever comes in with a 2-5 record and a 5.14 ERA. Brady is also tied for fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference in strikeouts looking with 16.

The Bruins (16-27, 10-14 OVC) travel up from Nashville having avoided a sweep at the hands of Murray State this past weekend, taking the series finale, 13-10, on Sunday. They'll send right hander Michael Matter to start against the Aces Wednesday night.

First pitch from Charles H. Braun Stadium is at 6 p.m.
