Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Sophomore midfielder Jayme-Lee Hunter recorded her second goal in three matches as the University of Evansville fell to Western Kentucky, 3-2, on Thursday night at Arad McCutchan Stadium.

"I thought we came back out and battled in the second half and definitely stepped up our offensive attacking process and I think that was evident in the second half, but obviously we just have to do better defensively," said Aces' head women's soccer coach Krista McKendree. "Most of the time almost the whole night we had five or six freshman on the field, so from that perspective its good, they're getting good minutes, we just have to do better in our individual one-on-one defending."

The Hilltoppers scored first, breaking the scoreless tie early on in the eighth minute. WKU's Aleksandra Kozovic found the ball at her feet at the top of the 18-yard box and dribbled past a defender, finding clear space and slipping the ball into the back of the net to give WKU a 1-0 advantage. Just past the midway point of the opening half in the 30th minute, WKU found its second goal of the match.

With less than two minutes left in the match, the Aces found their breakthrough. Senior forward Montana Portenier dribbled the ball to the end line and found some space to send a cross into the box. Portenier's corss slipped past a Hilltopper defender and hit Hunter inside the 18. Hunter stepped right and calmly found the back of the net to put the Aces on the board in the final moments of the match.

Sophomore Michaela Till and junior Julie Rabe split time between the posts as Till made three saves and Rabe made two in goal for Evansville.
