EVANSVILLE, Ind., -- The University of Evansville women's soccer (1-9-3, 0-2-2 MVC) team picked up a point in the standings with a, 1-1, double overtime draw with Missouri State.
 
The Purple Aces stuck early, with Sophia Rodil finding the back of the net for the first time in her career. Rodil rebounded the back-to-back shots by Monique Landrum to put the Aces up five minutes into the match.
 
The rest of the first half passed with both teams trading shot attempts. Rodil and Landrum paced UE with two shots each.
 
Missouri State countered at the start of the second half with the tying goal. Kennady Orlick scored the goal off an assist from Emma Skornia.
 
In the 110-minute battle both squads kept it even, with each attempting 14 shots. UE's 14 shots, with six on goal, was a new season high.
 
The Aces will return to the road with a trip up to Valparaiso on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.
