EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville head women's golf coach Jim Hamilton has announced the signing of Carly Frazier and Mallory Russell to a National Letter of Intent to begin playing for the Purple Aces in the fall of 2020.
 
Two local multi-sport athletes, Frazier and Russell where four-year starters at Castle High School and Memorial High School respectively.
 
"I am very excited to have Carly and Mallory as a part of our golf program," Hamilton said. "They are outstanding student-athletes that will make an immediate impact on our program."
 
Frazier competed in the IHSAA State finals in 2018 and 2019 and was the 2019 Washington Invitational medalist. She was named the Kiwanis Mental-Attitude Award winner for 2018-19 along with academic all-state honorable mention. Frazier was one of the top Southern Indiana Athletic Conference (SIAC) players during her career.
 
Russell earned SIAC all-conference honors each of her four years and was the Kiwanis Mental-Attitude Award winner for 2019-20. She is a two-time SIAC champion, winning during her freshman and junior campaigns, while also finishing in the top-30 all four years in the state finals. Russell captured the Indiana High School regional championship, her senior year, carding a record 66 at Country Oaks Golf Course. She was the 2018 Evansville Women's City Champion.
