2/19/2019 11:42:00 AM

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - In the first season of head coach Walter McCarty's tenure, the University of Evansville men's basketball team has made significant strides in multiple categories with help of Aces' fans.

Heading into the final home game of the season on February 27, the Aces have already set a number of attendance marks. Through 16 games, 78,581 fans have packed the Ford Center, an average of 5,239 fans per game. The average currently sits as the best average attendance for the Aces in the Ford Center era and the highest average since the 2008-09 season. In Missouri Valley Conference play, fans have shown up in droves, the Aces have averaged 5,620 fans per game, a 43.2% increase from last season's MVC attendance.

During MVC play, each game has seen 5,000 or more fans in attendance with a season-high of 6,419 attending Evansville's January 12 contest against Indiana State. Every MVC game this season has outdrawn the highest attended conference game from a season ago.

As a show of our appreciation for the enthusiastic support of our fans this season, the game February 27 is Fan Appreciation Night. The night will feature numerous promotions and giveaways including a "rollover" promotion for all fans with a purchased ticket. If the Aces get a win and make the Salukis "rollover", then we will rollover your tickets for a game next season. Every fan who purchases a ticket for the game on February 27, including season-ticket holders and fans who have already purchased single-game tickets, will receive a free ticket to any non-conference game during the 2019-2020 season. Tickets will be redeemable once single-game tickets go on sale for the 2019-2020 season and fans must present the ticket stub from the game at the time of purchase. Quantities are limited and is subject to availability.

Season ticket holders attending the game will also be entered to win three separate prizes, including two pairs of Arch Madness tickets and an authentic Aces' men's basketball sleeved jersey. All season ticket holders in attendance will be entered into the drawing for all three prizes and winners will be randomly selected and announced on February 28.

To thank the Tri-State community as a whole, we are giving away 300 tickets to local non-profit organizations. The tickets are available to any non-profit organization, while supplies last. Any interested non-profit should contact the Athletics Ticket Office at (812) 488-2237 for more information and to reserve your tickets.
