EVANSVILLE, Ind. - It was supposed to be the first home weekend series for the University of Evansville baseball team. However, while they're still the home team, the Aces will be on the road again, as weather has forced UE's three-game set with the University of Iowa has been moved to Marion, Illinois' Rent One Park. Also, the series will now begin Saturday with a single game, slated for a first pitch of 7 pm central time at Marion, Illinois' Rent One Park. Sunday will now be a doubleheader, with the first game set for 1 pm central time at Rent One Park, with game two to follow.

GAME NOTES
SETTING THE SCENE:  •The Purple Aces are coming off their second straight winning weekend, as they swept Boston College two straight, while dropping a 2-0 heartbreaker to Eastern Kentucky in a weather-shortened EKU Challenge in Richmond, Ky.
THE OPPOSITION:  • Iowa (6-4) is coming off a strong weekend on the road, taking 2-of-3 games from #19 Oklahoma State, in a series that saw all three games decided by a single run.Â
THE STARTING ROTATION:  •  The Aces will open the weekend with junior right-hander Adam Lukas taking the hill for UE. After a tough luck loss and a tougher no-decision, Lukas got in the win columnin dominating fashion against Boston College in the opener of the EKU Challenge. Lukas went seven innings, striking out six, walking one, while scattering four hits in a 4-0 shutout performance. The Hawkeyes will counter with RHP Cole McDonald.
On Sunday, the Aces will open a twin bill by sending out junior left-hander Nathan Croner for his fourth start of the season. The southpaw earned his second victory of the season last Saturday, tossing 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned in UE's 4-3 win. Iowa will counter with LHP Cam Baumann.
Then, in Sunday's game two against the Hawkeyes, the Aces will give senior left-hander Alex Weigand his second start of the season. The senior southpaw earned Evansville's first win of the season in a "spot start" against Mercer, going five innings, allowing two runs, scattering seven hits, while striking out four. The Hawkeyes will send out RHP Grant Judkins.
ALL-TIME SERIES:  • The Aces and Hawkeyes have met 6 times through the years, with Iowa holding the series edge, 4-2. The Hawkeyes swept the Aces out of Iowa City last season, three straight (March 17-18).
