EVANSVILLE, Ind. - As the 2018-19 academic year winds to a close, the University of Evansville women's soccer team is gearing up for its 2019 campaign with the release of its full schedule for the 2019 season.

"I am very much looking forward to the fall so we can get back to continuing the growth we had as a team this spring," said women's soccer head coach Krista McKendree. "I believe the schedule is one that will challenge us to perform each and every game. To be able to start things out with a trip to NY within the first week is an opportunity for us to bond and immediately step outside our comfort zone." 

Evansville opens the season with a road trip to upstate New York for two exhibition matches. The Aces open the preseason on August 13 with an exhibition match against Canisius, followed by its second preseason competition against Niagara on August 15, both being played in Buffalo, N.Y.. Closing the preseason, Evansville returns to Arad McCutchan Stadium for an exhibition with Eastern Illinois on August 18.

The Aces host Middle Tennessee State on August 22 in their home opener and regular season opener, which kicks off an eight-game home slate for 2019. Evansville welcomes in a pair of Ohio Valley Conference squads on August 29 and September 6 as UT Martin and SEMO come to Arad McCutchan Stadium. The non-conference schedule comes to a close with a pair of home matches on September 20 and 22 against Mercer and IUPUI.

Opening the MVC portion of its schedule, the Aces go on the road to take on Indiana State on September 28. The first home conference match of the season on October 12 features MVC Tournament finalist Drake as the Aces and Bulldogs clash for the first times since an overtime thriller in last season's MVC Tournament. Following the matchup with Drake, Evansville closes out a two-game MVC homestand with a match with Missouri State on October 16. The Aces return to the road for two matches, first against Valparaiso on October 20 and then against UNI on October 26. The regular season concludes with a matchup with MVC Tournament champion Loyola at Arad McCutchan Stadium on October 31.

"I am thrilled with the roster we have coming onto campus in August; continuing to strengthen our connections in the north east, south Florida, and the west," mentioned McKendree on the roster she has assembled for the 2019 campaign. "I believe this group of young women have the potential to move us forward and I can't wait to get started."
