SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – Rewriting the record books, junior cross country runner, Anna Lowry earns Missouri Valley Conference Athlete of the Week for the second time this season and third time in her career.
 
Lowry captured her second straight event title at the Austin Peay Cross Country Festival over the weekend. Her 16:46.42 time set a new school record by over a minute, a new course and personal record, while also being the fastest 5K in the MVC this season.
 
Helping her team defend its championship from a season ago, Lowry finished the race almost a minute faster than the next runner from Bethel.
 
The Purple Aces will next travel to the Fast Cats Classic on Oct. 12.
